SAP HANA is a revolutionary database technology (in-memory), which SAP considers for, all its future product development strategies. It is a platform, as good as Windows happened to Microsoft or Mainframes happened to IBM… revolutionary in true sense. Hence it is here to stay.
In future, entire SAP landscape (ECC, BW, BPC… name it) will be sitting on SAP HANA database, rather than that of any other database vendors like Oracle or Sybase or DB2 etc.
